Our 8-week small group programs, led by experienced, credentialed teachers, are grounded in the Common Core State Standards, ensuring a top-notch educational experience for all students. Our Visionary Founder
Meet Shaina De Fusco Founder, Passionate Educator, the heart and soul behind I Can Academy! As the owner, lead tutor, teacher trainer, and curriculum designer, she brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our educational journey. A native of Orange County, CA, Shaina cherishes her strong family ties and is happily married to Michael, with their cherished 2 1/2-year-old daughter.
With a degree in business marketing from SDSU, and a Masters in the Arts of Education and a teaching credential from UCI, Shaina is passionate about empowering young minds. She delights in witnessing those magical “lightbulb moments” that spark learning in children. Outside of work, Shaina enjoys reading, playing tennis, and embracing the magic of Disneyland.
Shaina’s experience in the classroom is vast. She taught at an international baccalaureate school in Chicago teaching 4th, 5th, and 1st. She also taught at a full inclusion charter school in Los Angeles and was lead/mentor teacher for over 10 students from Loyola Marymount University. She taught for a year at a Reggio inspired private school before her most recent role as an instructional coach for a local school district supporting and mentoring TK-6th grade teachers.
Her deepest commitment lies in creating a safe and nurturing learning space, breaking down barriers in education, and inspiring the future generation. Join us as we embark on a remarkable journey of growth and excellence, shaped by Shaina’s unwavering dedication and passion.
